she fell and
he
laughed
and I guess I am supposed to say something better than good
"good" is not
good ¿ "something" is
not so great either but can we
let that one go ?
good
there is nothing to see here move along
these lines ¿ where is the torque
that twists bubbling
innards and makes the thumping behind
glittering bones rush
white water or raises
corners of lips to cheeks ? and what
if the velocity of these letters
was like singing or vibrations that shook
bodies down to the cells of cells
made
each one flicker like a light about to die and that might
feel even better when counting
breaths knowing that just
thinking about
this is a waste of them because they are only so
many left to take in this dream
¿ so can I hold
you ?
¿ defile
you with a hug ?
!
¿ think of one word that would make this poetry ?
¿ and not dare make this line
rhyme ? so I want to just
tell you that there is nothing to do everything
is disastrously fine without
it oka
y
¿ and what could be more selfish than that ?
loving another person
feels
so
good
that that
is the only
reason anyone does it
~O~
10 x like a billion = how much I love you:
Hedonism (feels good).
Ah, Chick, yes ... love as hedonism, yes. Yes.
¿ and what could be more selfish than that ?
loving another person
feels
so
good
that that
is the only
reason anyone does it

To my (limited) mind there is nothing more poetic than an inarguable truth put clearly and directly as a proposition, so that everyone can understand it and thenceforth see a certain word or words in an entirely new way forever.
For example, "selfish".
(And then again: "smsedler".)
On the other hand (yet): some nights ago I heard a man (older, Black) and a woman (Latin, younger) engage in an interesting discussion about love, in which the former person expressed a view consistent with this poem, while the latter suggested, with equal forcefulness, that no, the "selfish" argument is a typical man's position, whereas women (she meant herself) often fall in love because they feel they can make someone else happy.
But maybe in that case making someone else happy would also be considered selfish, because it feels... so... good?
thank youuuuuuuuu

whoops i put the exclamation point in ficurn!
now they gave me a new one and it is about 150% more appropriate: feinduck (no exclamation point)
